A New Image by Acia is a D.C.-based woman-owned small business (WOSB) established in 2001 offering over 15 years’ experience in image consulting services offered under the Image and Grooming Professional Institute.  Her business includes hair cutting, styling, and coloring with in-depth understanding of the hair care industry and business operations. She is an artistic and highly skilled Hair Stylist, motivated by a love of aesthetic improvement and a desire for customer satisfaction.

 

Dr. Williams has been in the hair industry for over 15 years.   She is a Master Educator with over 10 years of experience preparing future cosmetologists and barber stylists to successfully obtain required credits in theory, study, and practical service for the State Board Examination.  Her inspiration for versatile styling comes from her creative gift in the Vocal Arts.  Dr. Williams attended Duke Ellington School of Performing Arts in Washington, DC studying Vocal (Classical) Music.  This experience enhanced her attention to detail work with an experienced eye.  She studied cosmetology at Bennett Career Institute and obtained Cosmetology, Barbering, and Instructor Certifications. She is a Certified Non-Surgical Hair Loss Practitioner: CEO/Founder of The Hair Loss Rejuvenation Clinic. She is also a Certified Color Specialist.  She acquired useful techniques from attending Paul Mitchell, Clairol and Farouke classes and is affiliated with the National Beauty Cultural League (NBCL) of Washington, DC.

 

 A master of her craft, she keeps up with continued education, the latest techniques and hair trends as they appear on the fashion scene.  With her impeccable attention to detail she enjoys working with clients to come up with a suitable style for their individualized needs.  Her precision cutting skills also add to her creativity when styling hair.  She is constantly working on her own innovative techniques pushing the boundaries of hair.  Driven with a passion for collaboration she enjoys pushing the envelope and putting her innovative talents toward achieving a vision.  Her versatility - being accustomed to multi-cultural hair, multiple weaving techniques, and various styles, have contributed to her being a two-time award winner for best weaving.
 

Creativity and passion for healthy hair keeps motivating her to continue gaining knowledge to bring to her clients and co-workers.  She is committed to keeping her clients in the look they desire by educating them on the correct products to use at home and how to apply those to achieve and maintain their desired look.
